20th Anniversary of Fr. Cornelio Fabro's Death

This past May 4, 2015, marked the 20th anniversary of Fr. Cornelio Fabro's death. The previous day, Sunday, May 3, the Holy Mass was celebrated at the Basilica of the Holy Cross on via Flaminia, where Fr. Fabro lived for many years, until the final days of his earthly life. La celebration was presided by Fr. Andrea Meschi, current pastor. During the homily, he highlighted the figure of Fr. Fabro as a man of God and the diligent concern of this Stigmatine priest for the good of souls. Among those present were Fr. Gianluca Trombini, Director of the Cornelio Fabro Cultural Project, Sr. Rosa Goglia, Fabro's secretary for nearly 20 years, Gabriella Maesano, student and friend of Fabro, many parishioners who recalled Fr. Fabro's constant presence at the parish, and religious men and women, including Mother Anima Christi, General Superior of the female branch of the Religious Family of the Incarnate Word, some mothers of the General Council, and some of the religious who assist with the editions of Fr. Fabro's Complete Works and the Archives of the Cultural Project dedicate to him.

During the afternoon of May 4, a congress was held in Montefiascone, Province of Viterbo, at the Internation Seminary of the above-mentioned religious institute. Apart from Sr. Rosa Goglia and Gabriella Maesano, Fr. Carlos Walker, General Superior, some priests of the General Council – including Fr. Elvio Fontana, who was the Director of the Cornelio Fabro Culturale Project for 11 years – and many religious men and women in formation were also present.
